Hey all,
I have a dream box which I purchased a few days ago, when i turn it on it states 'No CA Found', obviously I can't get an ip either, so reflashing isn't possible.

I have a Null Modem Cable, 2 different ones now, as I though it may be the problem.

I've tried Dreamup, NCF tool & now Optiflasher, I've tried them with both cables, with and without Lan and on a different pc, I never get past "Power on DB Device' on Optiflasher.

I've tried removing the sim, making sure it is clean and reseating it. It has SIM210 written on it.

Any help you can give me is much appreciated:)

so your sim as you said is sim2.10 then you must be to flash only patched images for sim2 DM800HD If you sure your box is 800HD not 800se ...

P.s: If you optiflasher doesn't respond with pc then
*Try another win (Xp win better)
*Try another null cable RS232

Thanks! Optiflasher wont respond at all. Can you recommend a null modem cable that is good? thanks

Thanks fairbird, do you have any specific recommendations? Without ripping both my cables open I can't tell if they are like the 2nd wiring photo, but they both look like the 1st one.
They were listed as having crossover wiring, and the photo looks like it's wired directly with no crossover, does that make a difference?

Yes of course, Make big difference...
And without Rs232 cables you can not fix No Ca found (Lan cable) not respond to box, So only Rs232 cables can it....You find this cable in any computer shop

Should I be looking for an RS 232 cable without crossover wiring, or with crossover wiring?

1-Your box 800HD and for fixing (No ca found) you need only Rs232 without lan cable..
2-After fixed your issue then you need only lan cable to flash image or bootloader
*If your box and pc connected with router then you need straight cable
*If you connected pc to box directly you need crossover cable ...

Thanks again! I've installed an RS232 port in my pc via a pci card and it seems to be working, couldn't open the web interface, but it seems to be flashing the image via serial port. fingers crossed.

Okay, I have it flashed and back to normal. Thanks for all your help.
I thought I bought an original box but I suspect it's a clone, it passes all the test on the wiki explaining how to differentiate between the two, looks right all the way, but when I try to install the latest version of OpenPli it goes into CA not found. does that mean I have a clone?
