On 13th Feb2012 I recievd the Dm 800Se clone HD/Sunray S4, Sim 2.10,
Bl 84B, it came with a Russian image. Being not familiar with an image from
Rusiia, I decided to install A Dream Elte 3.o Enigma 2 image.
OK succeeded in flashing, but that image was not complete, it lacks TSPanel and CCcam2.2.1. Could not find plugins to suit that image.
Decided to flash another image OPENPLI, during the process I got CA ERROR on the LED (Only on one occasion).
My friend persisted in flashin another image, which caused all the damage.
When power on, I was left with yellow bar(booting) stopped at 40% of its
limit.
I read on the forums that I have ((probably)) damaged the BOOTLOADER
or it could be corrupted.I had to use a recovery pack with BL 82 to
get the box to life.
I tried and suceeded to have SSL82 on the LED.At this stage when I power ON, I can notice Dream Multimedia, SIM2 /BOOT/BL 82/ DCHP/FLASH?
VM Linux 9Z/,then the bar stopped as explained above.
I have stopped interfering with the box until I can get proper remedy.

Would be most grateful if any member might suggest HOW to bring back the box to normal working condition,as since I recieved that box I have
not viewed anything with that box.

Prepared the project for thursday midday.
Ok - have downloaded NCF v 1.0.8. E2
Do I need a key to utilize that software ?

I have selected( downloaded already) a S4/dm800SE image - by
riyad66. Image is for Sim2.10 sll 84B.
Will that be suitable for this job.

In the event that a key is essential to activate the softwareNCF, please
rush me one as I will be using same to morrow.

Summing up, I shall require only 2 items -

(a) NCF OPTIFLASHER V1.0.8
(b) riyad 66 image

Use latest NCF software !
-Open software & Detect Comport
-Select SIM2 SSL-BT & chose "DM800se-sim2-ssl84b"
-Click Start button
If Operation Done to the end then you have resored your bootloaded successfully !

After that Use latest OptiFlasher software
Connect on Normal mode or Advanced as you want
-Select Write IMAGE / Restore Backup
-Software will ask for NFI image file "Better use DM800se 84b images or S4 84b images" in your case
-Click Do Job

Many thanks for pointing out my misunderstanding the software.

Have noticed my Riyaad66 image ia :''rar" one.
Where as you stated that the v.1.0.8 software will ask for a ""nfi"" image.

Will the "rar" one be a big handicap.

Give me your green light in the right direction to take.

Hi Yass,

I came to know if I rightclick the 'rar' image, I can extract the nfi image which is required by
OPTIFLASHER.

So according to plan, this will be done midday.

Hi YASS, Have succeeded with the NCF operation. Restored Bootloader successful displayed on pc screen. I cross checked and when I power on the box, I can see Dream Multimedia E4.S4/Boot/ Then 84B.
We then proceeded to do the Optiflashing operation, we used the IP dreambox address
192/.168.1. 77- same as we saw on the box LED screen. Following displayed on pc screen :-
-Could not connect the box.
- time out.
-status disconnet / time out
-autoswitch to stop mode.
-you are forced to flash your dreambox.
-socket error - 100060.

May be above remarks can give you a hint where we went wrong to get us above remarks.

You are forced to flash your dreambox- YES/No, what should we choose here.??

Would be most grateful if you would kindly study the possibility of providing us with what
measures we should take to get a positive result.

I have a friend who is presently helping me in Recovering the Dm 800SE/s4 box,as he possesses a
certain amount of IT knowledge. The said guy has got a not-working DM 800 Hd PVE,with a J motherboard and J tuner (model pro with sim2,01)came from factory loaded with a SSL76 upgraded to 82( ?? a doubt) The Dm 800 HD pvr is the ordinary version of 2010 or even 2009 ..
Symptoms -When POWER ""ON / Yellow/green ethernet lights are ON // Fan working --- but
NO front Screen display.
Power ribbon from motherboard to LED screen tested- this is perfectly OH.It was tested on another Dm box,it is working .
Locally we cannot check the SIMCARD 2,01 whether OK or damaged .
If that simcard is not OK or its cradle is not ok //with no contact with the motherboard,
could be one of the possible reasons that the front LED has got no display.
What are preliminary tests that we can check at this state of the m/board.

You are better placed to give us some guidance.
