Hi

I have got problem so make my DM800 Clone sim 2.01 to boot.

I used Gemini (patched) before with SL 76D, but after some plugin/addon instalations then something happend. It did not boot anymore and a message telling me that it was a SW issue came up on the screen. Then i decided to try reprogramming the box via HTTP. After that i got Err01:NO CA FOUND.

Now i have tried to reflash it with both DREAM UP and Optiflasher.

When selecting Repair NO CA found in optiflasher, it takes a huge time until it´s 100%. About 24 h.. but still no difference.

I have a Null modem cable wich i have used with my DM500 before working well.

Does anyone in this forum know what´s wrong, and if there is anything i can do to make my DM800 Clone live again?

You need to flash your box with new image by using optiflasher see here ...
[Only registered and activated users can see links You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.]
Follow (3-Fix Bad Sector "Sectors Recovery") method and flash new image with old bootloader ssl76 or ssl72..
P:s: select loader (LD1 For sim2)

Thanx for the answer. Do you have any idea of how long time it will take? Is it normal with about 24h transfer?

24H absolutely No..
It will be take approximately Between an hour and an hour and a half ...

Hi,

This is really strange. After 1,5h the progress bar shows only 3%. (Bad Sector "Sectors Recovery")

When powering up the DM800 at the same time as Optiflasher runs, then the errormessage does not show on the DM800. Just the "DREAM Multimedia" in the display.

If error message was "DREAM Multimedia" only then problem from sim, maybe corrupted or move it from correct place...So:
1-open box
2-remove sim carefully
3-clean it if you see some dust on it
4-return it back (make sure in correct place)
5-agian flash any image with bootloader by using (Sectors Recovery) or (Advanced2)...

Hi,

If i just switch on the DM800, then i get the "Err01: NO CA FOUND", but if i start up the DM800 with the optiflasher sw running on the computer, and the null-modem cable connected to the DM800, then "DREAM Multimedia" only shows in the display.

The progress seem to be huge slow. about 24h for the progressbar in optiflasher to reach 100%, and nothing seem to be changed. I have also tried to run "Dream up" sw, and then the bootloader upload runs faster, but when reaching 100%, it stops at "Waiting for aknowledge".

I will try to clean the SIM and see if that helps..

Wait ... What are meaning about Dm500 and DM800 there are no relationship about both boxes ..
Please make clear, Did you try to but DM500 sim on DM800 ?

Hi,

I am sorry, i just wrote wrong. This is only about the DM800. I have changed in the pm above.
the issue is on the DM800 and i know that there are no connections between DM500 and Dm800. I have not touched any DM500 in the work trying to repair the DM800.

I hope that i made it clear.. Sorry that i wrote wrong..

However, i tried to clean the SIM, but same issue remains.. :-(

Hi,

What do you think about the max3232 circuit? May the dm800 dx line be damaged? It seems like the dm800 only send information, but i dont get any aknowledge from the box. Maybe because the rs232 circuit.is blown, and the dm800 are unable to receive information.
