Title: Dead DM800HD Se

DM800 HD se
-Clone
-SIM ?? no idea
-Dead box

Hi all,

I have a dm800 HD se, sim 2.10 clone and it's dead. The display is dead and the only signs of life are the green light on the tuner and the red LEDs on the eeprom.

I've connected a USB up to the service port and i get the output below. Sometimes it goes a bit further to "copy code" however it never goes any further.

I've tried optiflasher v2.0.0.4 in Advanced mode with Write IMAGE/Restore Backup but it never seems to detect the box.

Is the FSL screwed and is there anything that i can do to try and repair it?

Thanks, J

Ok Sorry, it's a white sim:

DM800SE 11424
SIM210

Blank on the other side.

So read this topic and Follow "Fix Bad Sector "Sectors Recovery"
[Only registered and activated users can see links You are not allowed to view links. Register or Login to view.]
1-select com (If doesn't connect try to change Baudrate between 57600 & 115200)
2-select Loader [LD1] For sim2
3-click settings and choose "sectors recover"
4-select [Repair No Ca Found] and choose DM800se-sim2.10-ssl84b
5-click "Do job" and turn on power to box and wait to connect with box and repair the problem.

P.s:Must be connect pc with box by both cables (Lan & mini usb)
If doesn't connect then try another pc (better xp win) and another cable

hmm, ok did all that and still i can't get it to recognise the box. optiflasher just sits at Power on DB Device.

What does optiflasher look for to recognise the device ?

Also does it detect boot before looking for the lan as i'm using a cross cable and sometime that can interfere as the interface takes a bit of time to come up. On the DB the lan interface seems dead.

Thanks
J

No...Optiflasher and any tools also detect to box directly when you open box before booting...
So if doesn't detect with box you have connection problem ... as I mentioned from mini usb cable or lan cable or pc (win)
also make sure you install correct drivers for mini usb cable try this one..download it and install it in your pc..

hmm ok this is getting really frustrated. Tried 3 USB cables, a cross cable, 2 power supplies and a different PC. Also did a fresh install of win7 used the drivers supplied and still it does not detect the DB.

Installed putty and the see the boot up but only as far as the COPY CODE is then dies after that.

Suppose the only option is to try XP?? I did try XP but only in VMware player and had exactly the same.

any ideas would be useful.

ok thanks, already tried the different baud rates and also tried powering on and holding the mini-flash button. still no go.

there is something happening as i can see it try to boot in putty but it doesn't get very far.

any more suggestions would be great.

Is there any info on how the DB works in terms of its architecture that i could read up on?

thanks

If you box not on guaranty:
1-Open it
2-Remove sim carefully
3-Replace it again
And try with optiflasher or press and hold mini-flash button...if not success try with "SUNRAY-FlashUP" this is especial dreamup for sim2 ...
