Hi, fairbird

I got the same problem again, I disconnect the cable from the box and program it again.

My dreambox 800 hd se sim no. is number 2. vertion is ferrari.

When I flash , I got " 192.168.1.77 **serial setup ".

Then I unplug , I still got " no CA Found " after I got second failed.

yesterday I tried many times as per direction ( flash SSl87F then unplug box after that flash any image with same SSl87F Then unplug and plug your box ).

I started all over again, I had the box going. When the box is booting, it goes only half way, and cut off. and the blue light remains on.

once again I need your experties to help me bring this box goes back. Besides I have tried all the help before, and all failed.

See this topic and flash SSl87F only by "Flashing by Null modem cable only without Network lan" then unplug and plug box if working ok if not flash any image same setups..

Hi, firebird

I just followed your procedure, using null modem cable ONLY, choose com1, When i press "do the job", it continues saying " busy" for hours.

I dn't know why, can you help me?

which windows you are use ? if win 7 open optiflasher by right click and run as administartor, and better move optiflasher to different location, and just first flash Bootloader (SSl).

mine is XP, in that case what should I do?

On Xp nothing specialy...just open softwear and flash bootloader or image as i mentioned before..

Hi, fairbird

My question is:

When I am using com1 with the serial cable only, I get no any progress.

when I am using usb cable ( one small one large ) for com4, I can get communication , and get detection right away.

Is any suggestion, like do I need to change the setting for it.

Just select your right com and connect optiflasher with dreambox..
how to know right com you have:
1-Right click on my computer icon
2-Select properties
3-select hardware
4-Device manager
5- see picture

I still can't get the connection using serial cable to get com 1. I used hyper terminal by usb cable, this is the information from there:

"First Stage 1.0/400 {BE3E3E3E3E3}
Second stage loader wasn't found. Don't panic - it's not a (real ) problem. you don't need to repair your Dreambox. It just means that the flashrom with the graphical menu was erased. You can restore this with a tool like Dreamup with serial access."

I was just exprimenting, do you have any idea why i couldn't get the any connection?

Not necessarily be the com is 1 maybe another number, check your com and see what number you have. Also as you said earlier can had connected to hyper terminal, So your pc must be connect with your Box. if you can not connected to box by optiflasher try with dreamup 1.3.3.9 last version and see what happen.
And if still can not connect to box try another power supply adapter even for 500S if you have or any one. or try with another pc.
Try all this advices..
