Socket Error # 10060 message - gavgood - 10-06-2012

Please someone help.
I am fairly new to all this and need to reflash my dreambox dm800SE...when i try using the optiflasher i get to the point where it says "Boot Success & Ready For Network Web Interface!"..but after this once i have entered the ip address showing on the dreambox screen I get this message - "Error: Socket Error # 10060.
Connection timed out."

Can someone please tell me what the problem is ????

if your Modem have diffrent domaine then you need to make crossover cable
directly from PC to box and apply the next settings as example with your Pc network card:

here picture shown how to change ip address in pc..

Then open optiflash and flash image after finish go remove that ip what you put it to get lan normal..
And here how to use optiflasher..
